Solving fake news — Vubble to participate in MisinfoCon 4.0 in Washington
Vubble has been invited to participate in MisinfoCon 4.0 in Washington — August 6-7 — ground-breaking sessions tackling the MISINFORMATION dilemma. Over the two days, CEO Katie MacGuire will work with a group of experts to tackle solutions in the areas of media/information literacy and critical thinking, geopolitical responses to misinformation, and data/metrics. The meetings will spotlight ambassadors from technology platforms, news organizations, as well as experts in social science, media literacy, policy, advocacy, cybersecurity and more.
“What’s great about MisinfoCon is that we sit down with an incredible group of people and over the weekend come up with real solutions to the problem,” says MacGuire.
Vubble’s Tessa Sproule was part of the first Misinfocon at MIT in Boston in February 2017. The idea for Vubble’s innovative Credibility Meter that assesses online content came out of that event.
MisinfoCon is a global movement focused on building solutions to online trust, verification, fact checking, and reader experience in the interest of addressing misinformation in all of its forms.
